Cristian Impex was founded in 1997 by Enzo Mantovani together with his sons Luca and Cristian, already leaders of MADE IN ITALY. The request from global companies grew together with the need to widen their philosophy of tradition and expertise, they could still offer the latest technology and Italian craftsmanship with a much larger capacity. A service of excellence MADE IN EUROPE.
Gianluca Mantovani represents the family know how and passion for knitting in Calafat, Romania where he heads a staff of over 500 people. The force and the design development have made Cristian Impex a strong and competitive manufacturer, where quality and price are key.
KNOW HOW AND TECHNIQUES
Cristian Impex have an expert team of programmers, knitters, pattern makers and design department on hand. They can help transform any ideas, assist in choosing the right yarns and find great solutions.
They are equipped with 21gg Cotton machines, the latest Shima and Stoll flat knitting machines from 3gg, 5gg, 7gg, 14gg, 16gg, 18gg and hand knitting machines for sampling. They have several Complett, exacta linking machines and Tajima embroidery machinery.
Their focus on innovation and research allows them to create new knit stitches, seamless garments, state of the art or traditional pieces. The passion of accompanying clients on their creative journey, while offering unique craftmanship is key to their success not only in Italy, but in the heart of Romania too.

Luca Maglierie and Cristian Impex have obtained the below certifications
required Internationally and are committed to reducing the amount of water
consumption, electricity and gas.
Health, safety, quality and sustainability are at the heart of their present and
future strategy.
CAPACITY AND TIMING
Cristian Impex follow the whole process in house and the capacity allows them to develop up to 30 Samples- Prototypes a day and 5000 duplications per Season.
The Lead times due to the structure are also very competitive;
Prototypes within 15 days, Samples within 2-4weeks and Production from 4 to 12 weeks depending on yarn, style, treatment, embroidery, season etc.
Cristian Impex is a great factory with all the characteristics of it’s brother factory in Italy, but can meet the market’s growing needs for volume and competition.
